Since becoming natural, I have accumulated so many different hair products that I have become a glorified product junkie. Instead of throwing things away, I hoard products in the hope of one day, being able to use them again. As naturals, when our hair grows and gets longer, the texture can change. Because of this, I move from product, to product, to product.
Recently, I decided to try As I Am Twist Defining Cream. I absolutely love this product. It gave me an amazing twist-out with beautiful definition. I was a little skeptical about this product because I have tried it before when I first went natural. However, because my hair is constantly changing, it worked wonders. This product not only gave me a bomb twist-out, it also hydrated my curls and kept them hydrated throughout the day. I am all for a product that keeps my hair smooth, soft, and well hydrated.
If you haven’t tried this product yet, check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
Also, as promised, photos of my growth!
If you are natural, I’m sure you can agree that natural hair products are not cheap. Usually, these products can range anywhere from $10-$40 and up. I don’t know about you, but spending $20-$40 on a hair product is a huge no, no for me; especially when that type of money can be used for something like gas. Even though I would love to consistently buy the Carol’s Daughters and the Miss Jessie’s products of the natural hair world, I know that there are products out there that work just as well and are half the price. Because I believe every naturalista should not have to break the bank buying quality products for their curls, I am more than happy to provide you curly divas with my top 10, under $10, amazing, but cheap, natural hair products.

It’s been six weeks since I’ve been taking the Mane Choice Vitamins. In my last update, I was raving about the vitamins; and, I still am. I am pleasantly surprised, and extremely pleased, with the amount of growth I have seen since I first started taking them. Currently, I have yarn twists in that I’ve had in for about a month now. Since I’ve had these in, I have maybe about an inch of new growth. My hair has never grown that fast any other time I’ve had a protective style in. I believe, I owe most of this growth to the vitamins. I am planning to take these twists out in a few days and am excited to see what my curls look like! The only con I’ve experienced while taking the vitamins is a break-out on my cheeks and forehead. Fortunately, the break-out has cleared up, and hopefully it won’t happen again. Despite this, I plan to continue to take the vitamins!
Have you been taking the Mane Choice Vitamin or something similar? Tell me about your experience! Pics coming soon of my new growth! Stay tuned for that and more, all right here on The Natural Hair Diary!
As many of you know, there are several hair growth vitamins being produced today. Per my hairdresser’s advice, I decided to try one of these vitamins. I have been taking the Mane Choice Vitamin for about 2 1/2 weeks now, and I have to say, I have seen some growth. My curls have started to drop and I feel as though my hair is a little healthier than it was before I started taking the vitamins. Since starting the vitamins, I have not changed my hair routine. I still moisturize daily with water, olive oil, and shea butter. I have admit, I was skeptical about taking the vitamins at first; however, now I’m happy I did. I’m so excited to see what type of growth I will get once I have reached the one month mark.
Stay tuned to see how my healthy hair growth journey is going!
We have a winner! Well, more like a tie. Actually, both Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner and TRESemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner worked for me; but at different times.
I first used Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner when I went completely natural. This products worked wonders on my new curls. It made them soft and kept them hydrated; just like the name claims. I was in love with the product for quite a while, until I decided to branch out and try some different products. Nonetheless, this product will always have a special place in my heart!
I just started using this product and my curls and I are already in love! I initially decided to try TRESemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner because my sister talked me into it. However, I don’t regret my decision! This Conditioner leaves my hair extremely silky and makes it much more manageable.
Are you still playing? Well, there is more to come right here on The Natural Hair Diary!
It’s that time again! Both these products are wonderful, but as always, one worked better than the other. Can you guess which one? Find out next week, right here on The Natural Hair Diary!
Eden Body Works Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo is one of my favorite shampoo’s. It is all natural and contains no sulfates. Because it is made with peppermint leaves, it provides the scalp with a stimulating tingle. I love this because it makes my hair and scalp feel extremely clean. I would definitely recommended this product to every girl with curls!
One ‘n Only Argan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo is a very good product. Even though it is made with argan oil, which really works well with my hair type, it didn’t make my hair feel clean and silky like Eden Body Works Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo did. However, it is a good product to try simply because it is all natural and contains a good moisturizing agent in the argan oil.
There you have it! Still can’t get enough? Well don’t worry, The Product Game will continue next week, right here on the Natural Hair Diary!
